The vision of the Centre Africain de Recherches et d'Applications sur le Karité, or CRAK, is: "CRAK, an African reference centre for training, research and expertise at the service of producers and agro-industrialists in the shea sector, for better added value in their production, industrialisation and marketing activities". Its aim is to "contribute to the creation and/or promotion of value at all levels of the shea industry in Africa". The (CRAK ) aims, on the one hand, to ensure the domestication, protection and sustainable, equitable and rational management of natural resources, and on the other hand, to support the creation and/or promotion of guaranteed sustainable values at the level of production, industrialisation and marketing of shea products and by-products, through various forms of support in terms of : - Capacity to make available to producers the quantity and quality of shea planting material - Adding value to shea products and by-products - Availability of raw materials in adequate quantities and qualities at affordable and competitive prices; - Sufficient diversification to make the most of the four qualities (superior, primary, secondary and industrial).
